Advisors participate in a year-long Listening Circle :
Session 1: The Neighbors. Deep listening with our primary constituents–neighborhood cooperatives and disinherited proprietors.
Session 2: The Sensors. Consulting with the movement fellows who provide the 80% technical assistance.
Session 3: The Leaders. Aligning research with the organization’s strategic mission.
Session 4: The External. Getting critical feedback from key decision-makers and industry leaders.
Session 5: The Collaborators. A cross-disciplinary dialogue with other Advisors in the region.
The Capstone Deliverables
The Paper: A 5–10 page concept paper on a topic within the Advisor’s discipline that directly addresses a gap in the Reconstruction; AND
The Presentation: The paper is presented at our annual Reconstruction Conference, converting intellectual labor into a common resource for the entire movement.
Terms: Advisors receive an honorarium upon delivery of their Capstone paper and presentation. Advisors grant permanent publishing rights to the concept paper and presentation to the Center. Advisors retain the right to expand upon this research in any future private or commercial publications.
